Band Re-Saw
The mill utilizes a 5’ McDonough band re-saw which is managed by two people- an operator and an inspector. The inspector will turn each squared-up log so he can look at all four faces to determine how best to maximize grade and yield. Thick cut stock to include 5/4, 6/4, 8/4, 10/4 and 12/4 is cut at the band re-saw as well.
